Yankees pitcher Brian Mitchell took a line drive to the face on Monday night at Yankee Stadium.Twins shortstop Eduardo Nunez rocketed a ball up the middle and although it did not smack Mitchell square in the face, it still hit a portion of his face before going into centerfield.
He did walk off under his own power but there appeared to be a large amount of blood, as expected:
