One waiter at Rock and Brews in Overland Park, Kansas got the best tip of his life and it didn’t include a single dollar. Ryan O’Connor received two World Series tickets from Katelyn Davis, the wife of Kansas City Royals pitcher Wade Davis.
O’Connor gave the following rundown of the random but unbelievable occurrence:
I started to walk away when I dropped off their check after they paid, and they said ‘Hold on, I was going to give you a tip, but instead we thought you might want this. And they said, ‘you’re going to sit with us, we’re a pretty cool family
He was given the night off to attend Game 1, although the 7-1 shellacking at the hands of the San Francisco Giants was not a happy ending to a very cool story.
