Thanks to the folks at Grantland we have the first trailer for Disney’s upcoming baseball movie, ‘Million Dollar Arm,’ which is being produced by none other than Bill Simmons and features the great Jon Hamm. The film releases on May 16th.
According to S.I.:
The movie tells the mostly true story of The Million Dollar Arm, a 2008 Indian reality show started by sports agent J.B. Bernstein (played by Hamm), that tried to find the person in India who could best throw a baseball. The winners, Rinku Singh and Dinesh Patel, famously received a cash grand prize and then came to America, where they were trained at USC and eventually both signed minor league contracts with the Pirates.
