I’ve never really understood the whole idea of throwing a home run ball back onto the field. Do you know how rare it is to catch a home run ball at a Major League Baseball game? For most people (excluding this guy) that’s a once-in-a-lifetime scenario, so no chance I’m giving up that souvenir.
Plus, it’s not like throwing the ball back onto the field is going to make the dude who hit it feel bad. The runs still count for his team and he still gets a dinger on the scorecard. Throwing the ball back literally does nothing.
So, with that being fan, this Twins fan flipping the bird at the girl who won’t toss a David Oritz (a future Hall of Famer, mind you) homer back onto the field can screw off.
