The Minnesota Twins’ game against the Kansas City Royals on Wednesday wasn’t anything to write home about, but Torii Hunter at least gave Minnesota something to put on the highlight reel.
The 39-year-old outfielder disagreed with a called third strike by home plate umpire Mark Ripperger in the eighth inning. It didn’t take Hunter much time to get ejected, and when Twins manager Paul Molitor came out of the dugout to argue he got tossed as well.
Hunter threw the ultimate tantrum before hitting the showers, taking off and throwing his jersey while scattering his other equipment around the field.
The Twins went on to lose 7-2 and now sit two games behind the Royals for the American League Central lead.
