The Detroit Tigers successfully proved that not all hazing is bad hazing when they made their rookies dress up like lingerie football players and play a game of two-hand touch before boarding a plane to Minnesota this weekend. Rookie hazing seems to be an annual event in baseball every September, and there are usually some good ideas – though I don’t know if I’ve seen one as funny as this one.
The hazing was the brainchild of the team’s veterans – including Justin Verlander and Torii Hunter, who did us the service of documenting it – and we are officially in debt to them because of it.
