Brandon Phillips had a rough day at the office on Monday.
In the fourth inning during an at-bat against Noah Syndergaard, Phillips fouled two straight pitches off his left foot. He spent some time on the ground in pain before getting back up to finish the at-bat, then he promptly was drilled in the finger by a 98 mph fastball.
It doesn’t get much more unlucky than that.
