The Texas Rangers are going to be dedicating one stand entirely to the glory that is fried food.
This can only be seen as a good thing.
Fans at Rangers games will have the honor of ordering from a food stand called State Fare which takes its inspiration from the gut-busting offerings that one is likely to find at state fairs.
Chief among State Fare’s offerings is the ingeniously designed Fried S’mOreo. The godly dessert is made by taking a deep-fried breaded marshmallow and sandwiching it between two deep-fried Oreos, placing that on a skewer and then dribbling chocolate sauce and whip cream on top of it. That small bite of heaven will reportedly cost $8.
The State Fare will also sell funnel cake fries as an alternative sweet snack.
For those looking for a savory option, the stand will also stock buttermilk batter chicken-fried corn on the cob, fried pickles, and brisket mac-and-cheese balls.
It’s like someone made a menu by blindly throwing darts at a board labeled with the best food ingredients on the planet. Everything about this is wonderful.
Pretty soon, the actual baseball being played on the field will be a secondary attraction compared to the ballpark food if current trends hold true.
