Joe Maddon and the Tampa Bay Rays frequently like to attach fun themes to road trips and dress up as they travel throughout the season. After wrapping up a series against the Angels on Sunday, the team prepared for a 10-game road trip by dressing in their best formal wear before heading to the airport to fly to Oakland.
As you can see in the team photo above, there were plenty of unique looks sported by the 25-man roster and the coaching staff to boot (check out Maddon’s sweet kicks). My award for Best Dressed, though, definitely goes to relievers Jake McGee and Brad Boxberger, who stole the spotlight with the orange and baby blue tuxedos that Harry & Lloyd made famous in ‘Dumb & Dumber.’
