A.J. Burnett has been out since July with elbow inflammation, but he made his return to the mound Thursday night in the best way possible.
The 38-year-old right-hander’s favorite superhero is Batman, so what better way to welcome him back than to have the bat signal projected onto buildings near PNC Park?
Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto thanked DC Comics and Warner Brothers for giving them the opportunity to use the logo, per WPXI.
