Baseball season officially got underway (in the States, at least) last night and it didn’t take long for the year’s first regular season Web Gem. However, the defensive highlight didn’t come from a player…it came from the Padres ballgirl, who managed to snag a line drive foul ball in the bottom of the eighth inning Sunday night.
As impressive as her grab was, the display shown by the fan seated behind her, whose foul ball defense primarily consisted of hiding behind his blankie, was equally as embarrassing. Not a great look for Dodgers fans…
