The soon-to-be retired shortstop appears to be enjoying an exuberant crowd and was also the beneficiary of a very kind Baltimore error. Orioles shortstop J.J. Hardy, the same guy that has fielded rumors about potentially replacing Jeter next season, committed an error on a potential (albeit tough) double play ball.
Instead Jeter recorded his second RBI of the night, one that sent the Yankee Stadium crowd into tears:
