It’s time again to celebrate Friday and enjoy some outright nasty pitches. Every Friday we’ll review the top pitching GIFs of the week, featuring the best heaters and breaking pitches from all around the league.

Michael Pineda was fantastic as the Yankees halted the Mets’ 11 game winning streak, with his Changeup stealing the show. The confidence to throw this pitch inside at a perfect location off the plate makes this a beauty.

Garrett Richards is healthy and starting to ramp up as he gets more starts under his belt. We’ve seen some nasty Curveballs from him in the past, and we were pleased to see this enormous hook. You can sit with mouth agape watching how far it drops in the zoomed-in shot.

This pitch from Jason Hammel starts in the heart of the plate and ends up at Starling Marte’s ankles. No wonder he had 8 strikeouts in 8 IP against the Pirates.

Sometimes you have to bear down and make a pitch. Here Trevor Rosenthal hurls a 97 MPH Fastball right on the outside corner to seal the win for the Cardinals.

Sure, Shane Greene got hammered for the second straight outing, but he also earned seven strikeouts in under five innings of work. Here’s the prettiest one he had, getting Danny Santana on this incredible Changeup that rides well off the plate.
