Colin Cowherd is currently in hot water over some really, really dumb comments that he made on his radio show about baseball and the Dominican Republic.
During his morning radio show on Thursday, Cowherd spewed out this nonsense.
“It’s [baseball] too complex? I’ve never bought into that ‘baseball is too complex.’ Really? A third of the sport is from the Dominican Republic.”
Needless to say, the comment caught the ire of baseball players from the Dominican Republic, including Jose Bautista.
Dear Mr. @ESPN_Colin before i rip you a new one i would like for you to explain what u meant to say about baseball and dominicans, please

And while Cowherd tried to clarify his comments on Friday, he didn’t exactly apologize for his views either.
So, it’s not that surprising that the MLB issued a statement on Friday asking for an apology from Cowherd in the strongest way possible:
“Major League Baseball condemns the remarks made by Colin Cowherd, which were inappropriate, offensive and completely inconsistent with the values of our game. Mr. Cowherd owes our players of Dominican origin, and Dominican people generally, an apology.”
