On Sunday, Kirk Nieuwenhuis managed to hit three home runs in the first five innings of the Mets’ game against the Diamondbacks.
With his third home run of the day, Nieuwenhuis also made (somewhat obscure) Mets history.

And of course, such an outstanding performance deserves its own reward and Nieuwenhuis received one in the shape of a head massage from one of his teammates.

Unfortunately, the head massage didn’t help Kirk extend his ridiculous home run streak as he struck out in his fourth at-bat of the game.
