I don’t think anybody in MLB history’s career has gotten off to a more peculiar start than Astro catcher/DH Max Stassi. Last night Stassi marked his MLB debut by committing an egregious baserunning gaffe.
Tonight, Stassi came to the plate with the bases loaded and then was hit flush in the chin by a pitch in the top of the eighth inning against the Rangers. Not only did Stassi walk off on his own power, he recorded the most painful RBI you will ever see.
After being removed from the game, Stassi was taken to a hospital for further evaluation.
