I don’t know if this Miami Marlins ball boy is old enough to drink but, if he is, the guy he saved with this outstanding catch last night owes him a beer.
In the third inning of last night’s Marlins-Mets game in Miami, Ruben Tejada hit a screaming liner foul down the third base line. The ball appeared to have eyes, zeroing in on a stadium employee standing idly by the outfield wall. The guy attempted to bail out at the last second but it looks like he might have been too late if it weren’t for the ball boy’s heroic efforts, diving over the fence to make to snare the liner before tumbling into the first row folding chairs.
Somebody give that kid a contract.
