Eddie Rosario was already thinking of the postgame celebration after hitting for the cycle during his rookie season. The Minnesota Twins outfielder hit a home run, double and triple, all in the first five innings on Thursday night. He lined out in the sixth inning before coming up in the eighth inning with one final chance at the rare feat. The Twins were leading 9-5 in the eighth therefore this would likely be his last at-bat, barring an epic ninth inning collapse.
Rosario ripped a Mark Lowe pitch that was destined for a base hit to left field but Mariners shortstop Brad Miller made an unreal play to rob him:
