Let’s stay in the American League West for a minute. Because while the M’s are enjoying a remarkable turnaround season, the A’s are playing the best baseball of their lives. I mentioned that the Mariners’ +52 run differential is second in baseball. Well, the A’s are first. And their run differential is +126 — 74 runs higher than the M’s. If the season ended today, the A’s would own the best record in all of baseball heading into the playoffs.
