In a fair and just world, Alex Rodriguez would have never recorded his 3,000th hit against the Tigers on June 19th. But because it’s not, his hit happened to be a home run and his admirable career turned even more improbable right before our eyes.
And in the ultimate proof that success breeds fandom and that people will buy just about anything, that lineup card is up for auction. But before you make any big plans to hang it up on your mantle with all your other A-Rod memorabilia, know that it’s going to cost you a pretty penny.
Nice to know that something from his 3,000 hit game is up for auction after finding out that the Zack Hample, or as most people know him the annoying foul-ball-guy, is keeping the ball. Still can’t believe that this guy caught it.
Here's A-Rod's 3,000th hit/ball. Told the @Yankees I'm keeping it. Got it authenticated by @MLB. This is un-REAL. pic.twitter.com/qEo2qX9Iru
