Terrible news out of Chicago today as Kyle Schwarber of the Cubs is now out for the year with a torn ACL, LCL and severely sprained ankle. The Cubs moves Schwarber immediately to the disabled list, and there is no current timetable for his return. The news is extremely tough not just for the Chicago Cubs, but for the MLB. Schwarber is one of the young stars who has a ridiculous ceiling.
The injury took place during the second inning when Jean Segura hit a rope to left-center and Kyle Schwarber collided with center fielder Dexter Fowler. It was unknown at the time how serious Kyle was injured, but he had to be carted off of the field. We now know the full extent of the unfortunate injury.

The Chicago Cubs are currently 3-0 to start the season and are odds on favorites to win the World Series. Kyle Schwarber was slated to be a major piece of the puzzle for the Cubs. The one silver lining for the Cubs is that they have an absolutely stacked outfield this year, and a farm system which is as deep and good as it gets.
