The Drake and Meek Mill feud reached a new high when Drake dropped his “Back to Back” freestyle diss track early on Wednesday morning.
However, while Drake’s evisceration of Meek Mill would have been good enough on its own, the Canadian rapper also included a sly and subtle sports dig at Mill with the track’s photo cover of Joe Carter.
The specific photo of Carter that Drake chose is from one of the most iconic moments in Toronto sports history where Carter won the 1993 World Series with a walk-off home run against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Meek Mill, not coincidentally, is from Philly.
Drake’s reference to Carter apparently caused Joe’s profile on social media to skyrocket, as the former Blue Jay told TMZ Sports, “My Twitter’s been blowing up! It put my name back in the mix.”
Carter even gave Drake his own shout out on Twitter, telling Drake that he was honored to be the face of Drake’s diss track.
I have officially made it now!!! Thanks to my man @drake. I'm honored bro. #BackToBack. pic.twitter.com/TH8VLuPAMQ

Perhaps best of all, Joe is now cool in the eyes of his kids:
“My kids feel I’m legit now.”
