Jeremy Guthrie pitched five solid innings in the Royals’ 2-1 win in Game 3 of the ALCS on Tuesday night, but his biggest victory might have come when he trolled the Orioles – his former team – with the shirt he wore to the post-game press conference.
Guthrie was sporting a “These O’s Ain’t Royal” t-shirt – a play on the popular Chris Brown song ‘Loyal,’ which includes the lyrics “these hoes ain’t loyal” – when he took the podium after Kansas City’s win to push the series to 3-0.

I thought it was hilarious, but apparently some people (probably Orioles fans) did not. Guthrie took to Twitter to apologize for the shirt on early Wednesday morning, which is pretty ridiculous. The only thing he should have to apologize for is admitting that he listening to Chris Brown. It was almost as ridiculous as this Royals fan hitting an innocent woman with a mean popcorn airstrike.
My intention was not to anger O’s fans or friends w/my shirt 2night.I apologize to those offended.Did not consider this reaction.Go Royals.
