Mets reliever Jenrry Mejia came up with a big strikeout to close out the eighth inning of a two-run game at Yankee Stadium last night and, understandably, he was very excited. After freezing Yanks’ outfielder Brett Gardner – representing the tying run at the plate – on a breaking ball to end the inning, Mejia began his trot back to the dugout with this hilarious backwards scuttle across the mound.
The Mets went on to win 9-7.
