Jacob deGrom wasn’t at his best Thursday night, but he was good enough to help the Mets clinch an NLCS berth.
The Mets beat the Dodgers 3-2 in the nail-biter of a Game 5 matchup, and while deGrom didn’t have his best stuff, Mets pitching coach Dan Warthen explained how he still managed to get the job done.
Asked Dan Warthen what Jacob deGrom showed him with tonight's' effort. His reply, "A very large sack, Dave." #Mets
