After enduring a rain delay that pushed Wednesday night’s first pitch back more than two hours, the Cleveland Indians and Boston Red Sox played a 12 inning game in Cleveland that stretched into the wee hours of Thursday morning.
Some fans – including John J. Adams, known as the Tribe Drummer – were determined to stick it out until the very end, no matter how difficult it was to stay awake. From the looks of things, it was pretty difficult….but…must…keep…drumming.

Fortunately for Adams and the rest of the Indians faithful, Asdrubal Cabrera made it all worth it when he belted a three-run home run in the bottom of the 12th to give the Tribe a 7-4 victory, their sixth straight.
