Status: Signed by the Pittsburgh Pirates to a one-year deal worth $5 million.
It wasn’t long ago that Edinson Volquez was one of the top young starters in the game. He hasn’t had a season over.500 since 2010 and has led the league in both earned runs and walks for a season during that span. However, the raw talent is there and some team will most likely give him another shot.
