The Major League leader in home runs could miss a hefty amount of time.
Giancarlo Stanton, according to FOX Sports’ Ken Rosenthal, tweaked his hand on a swing Friday night and could miss several weeks as a result. Since Rosenthal’s tweet, it was announced Stanton broke a bone in his hand.
Here’s how it happened:
Stanton’s injury isn’t just unfortunate for the Miami Marlins, it’s a huge loss for all of baseball. The 25-year-old slugger had 27 homers and was on pace to finish the season with 60.
