Not only does the start of the baseball bring the end of the obnoxiously long Spring Training schedule, hopefully it will also officially end the pointless argument if the Royals should have sent Alex Gordon in the ninth inning of Game 7 five months ago.
With loads of optimism flowing in almost every MLB clubhouse, 28 teams begin their season on Monday in hopes of successfully navigating a grueling 162 game schedule. While it’s impossible to predict which teams will become surprise contenders or last place finishers, it still appears we have a bunch of intriguing Opening Day games on tap for Monday, including a feast of fantastic pitching matchups.
