In the sixth inning of the Angels and Rangers weekend series, Kole Calhoun singled in a run to center field to give the Halos a 6-4 lead. Calhoun’s single happened to sail over the head of shortstop Elvis Andrus. So instead of watching the ball, Andrus decided to improvise and threw his glove at it. Check Andrus’s quick thinking out.
Lucky Andrus isn’t a professional baseball player or anything and didn’t hit the ball with his glove. The rulebook says any object thrown by a defender at the baseball results in a three-base error if contact is made. So, lucky for the Rangers Andrus’s aim kind of sucks.
