Joe Mauer ripped a laser off of David Price during Tuesday’s game between the Rays and Twins, and it ended up where it shouldn’t have. The line drive up the middle hit David Price squarely in his groin region, and luckily for him he was wearing “protective gear.” The incident happened during the 4th inning with the Rays leading by a score of 5-1.
The play happened so fast so we can’t confirm it hit Price in ‘that region,’ but the cup check following the hit would back up that line of thought.
