Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper talked much over the winter about his workout program, and has tweeted photos to show how hard he was hitting the weights.
But until the photo that you see above surfaced on Tuesday, we weren’t sure just how much muscle Harper added to his already strong body over the offseason. The answer: Plenty. And it appears Harper is rewarding himself for the hard work with some Girl Scout Cookies.
Harper hit 20 home runs and had a .486 slugging percentage in 497 plate appearances (424 at-bats) for the Nats in 2013, his second big-league season. Look for those power numbers to rise for the 21-year-old in 2014.
