Bryan Price averaged one curse per 3.7 seconds. How that compares to other infamous meltdowns: http://t.co/1SyDWRGALF pic.twitter.com/2rMbSpXupR

Reds manager Bryan Price made headlines on Monday for an amazing f-bomb rich tirade that he leveled at the media.
Price used the F-word (or a variation of it) 77 times and he said 91 obscenities in all according to The Wall Street Journal‘s Brian Costa. However, the entire rant took Price 5 minutes and 34 seconds to complete.
On a curse-per-minute average rate, Price’s expletive-laden rant doesn’t come close to Hal McRae’s memorable cursing streak during the 1993 season. McRae’s railing against media questions may have only lasted 1:25 but he managed to squeeze in 32 expletives during that time for an amazing average of one expletive every 2.7 seconds.
Price averaged one profanity every 3.7 seconds—impressive, no doubt, but not as prolific as Hal McRae. In 1993, while managing the Kansas City Royals, McRae responded to a question about in-game strategy by unleashing 32 expletives in 85 seconds, or one every 2.7 seconds. He also threw several objects off his desk, one of which bloodied a reporter’s face, and concluded by saying, “Put that in your f— pipe and smoke it.”
Sorry Bryan Price, but Hal McRae still reigns supreme in the potty mouth department.
