Brandon Phillips can make a lot of difficult things look easy, including starting a huge late-game double play with a nifty behind-the-back flip against the Pirates on Thursday. With the game tied 4-4 and Andrew McCutchen on first base with no outs in the eighth inning, the veteran second baseman vacuumed up Neil Walker’s grounder and started one of the more nifty double plays you’ll ever see.
It helped get the Reds to extra innings, when Phillips struck again with a solo blast in the top of the 13th inning that proved to be the game-winner:
