Fox Sports 1 has picked up a show covering Major League Baseball’s most famous barber, Jose Moises Lopez, who cuts the hair of baseball’s biggest superstars.
As a result, Lopez’s story and some of his past experiences are being highlighted in anticipation of the show, called ‘Back of the Shop.’ One of the most interesting tidbits come from Lopez’s working relationship with Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez:
When he spotted Alex Rodriguez shaving his legs at Yankee Stadium, Jose Moises Lopez knew just what to do. He offered to help.
“I didn’t want him to cut himself,” Lopez said in Spanish. “’Don’t worry about it,’ I said. ‘I’ll do it for you.’ He shaves his arms and legs.” (via)
So, the most narcissistic player in baseball shaves his arms and legs, huh? Of course he does.
Let’s just hope that Back of the Shop reveals some more embarrassing player grooming habits when it hits FS1 for it’s debut on May 24th.
