Chone Figgins – Los Angeles Dodgers
Unfortunately Chone Figgins is known as much for his 4 year, $36 million contract with Seattle in 2010 than his 7-plus very good years in Anaheim from 2002-2009. Figgins hasn’t played in more than 81 games since 2010, his first year with the Mariners and hasn’t eclipsed the Mendoza Line since that season as well.
Following one average and two horrendous, injury-filled years with the M’s, Figgins signed a minor league deal with the Marlins but was soon cut and elected to sit out the 2013 season.
The veteran again signed a minor league deal in 2014, this time with the Dodgers, and made the club soon thereafter. Figgins has received little work and little national attention in Los Angeles, appearing in only 38 games through Thursday, mostly as a pinch hitter and runner.
The former reliable utility speedster and leadoff hitter Figgins has been nearly forgotten by the average fan.
