On Sunday, 102-year-old Gladys Holbrook took to the mound at the Brewers-Diamondbacks game and gamely threw out the ceremonial first pitch.
The Brewers fan had plenty of supporters with her and some even wore Gladys-themed t-shirts to help cheer her on.

Gladys was very appreciative of all the love she received from Brewers fans but she didn’t seem to think what she did was a big deal:
“I’m overwhelmed for this whole thing all the while. I don’t know what the fuss is about.”
In a bit of a cosmic coincidence, the Sunday game itself would end up being the longest game ever played in Miller Park history. The contest ended up lasting an incredible five fours, 49 minutes and 17 innings. Thankfully for Gladys and the home crowd, the Brewers prevailed.
