The women’s rugby team at Oxford University, which is located in Oxford, England, United Kingdom, recently decided to strip down and get naked for a great cause. After helping the men’s rugby team sell their calendars last year, and in the process hearing supporters tell them that they would instead buy the calendar if it were the ladies who were featured, the team decided to do just that.

With the proceeds of the risque calendar going to Mind Your Head, which is the University’s mental health awareness campaign, they are surely avoiding some unnecessary backlash from folks who might not find this so elegant. Team member Tatiana Cutts told the Daily Mail, “It was ‘mostly hilarious, really very cold, and absolutely worth it for such a good cause’. ‘What we’re doing is celebrating strong women,’ she said. ‘These girls are athletes, these are their body shapes, and they should be celebrated.”
I agree, Tatiana. Celebrate all you’d like. No complaints here.
