Wal-Mart, the mega-corporation beloved by everyone, issued an apology to a woman who was asked to leave one of their stores in Eugene, Oregon because of the way she was dressed:
Sandy McMillin (above, in the outfit she wore that fateful day) says that she was approached by an employee and asked to put on a shirt or leave the store because her appearance was a health code violation. McMillin claims that after she was given her ultimatum she and her sister were escorted out of the store.
“I was horrified,” McMillin told KVAL news. “I am embarrassed”
Walmart denies this and claims the woman was verbally abusing customers.
Regardless, the big-store spokesperson still apologized, and said that they have “reinforced with our associates our expectations of how to handle these matters.”
