1) New NFL News – The NFL held thee first round (there are 7 total rounds) of their draft last night in New York. Essentially this means every NFL team gets to pick a player from college who they think is the best. That person when picked, will put on that NFL teams hat, take some pictures, and usually cry and hug his family. You only need to know2 things from last nights first round that you should know. a) Cam Newton was picked first by the Carolina Panthers. b) Mark Ingram (who played for Alabama) got picked by the New Orleans Saints and had the best/most emotional moment of the draft caught on TV. The reporter read a letter from Mark’s Dad who is currently in prison. See it HERE Feel free to say: “Duh, everyone knew Cam Newton was going to get picked first.”
2) NBA Playoffs Are Still On? – Yes, they are still on and in fact the first round is almost over. The only two teams left battling to make it to the second round are from the West, the Memphis Grizzlies and the San Antonio Spurs. Other than that the following teams are moving onto the second round: (The West – LA Lakers, Dallas Mavericks, and the Oklahoma City Thunder) and (The East – Miami Heat, Boston Celtics, Chicago Bulls, and the Atlanta Hawks). Have no fear stating: “Easily the best match-up in the second round will be The Miami Heat v The Boston Celtics, I’m so pumped!”
