On May 5, 1862 Mexican soldiers won a hard fought battle against the French in Puebla, Mexico. However that is all history and now May 5th means it’s time to indulge in Mexican cervezas and cocktails. Here are some luscious and refreshing cocktail recipes for you to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with.
Cocojito with TY KU Coconut Infused Sake
Ingredients:
- 3 oz TY KU Coconut Infused Sake
- 12 Mint Leaves
- 1/2 oz Lime Juice
- 1/2 oz Simple Syrup
- 2 oz Cream of Coconut or Coconut Milk (Healthier Alternative)
- Ice
- 1 oz Club Soda
Directions:
- Blend the TY KU Coconut Infused Sake, ice, limes, cream of coconut and mint leaves together in a blender until smooth
- Pour into glass, mix with club soda
- Garnish with mint sprig and/or lime wedge as desired
Creamsicle Margarita with Patrón Citrónge and Licor 43
Ingredients:
- Licor 43
- Patrón Citrónge
- 1/2 oz Triple Sec
- 4-6 oz Orange Juice
- 1 oz Simple Syrup
- 2 Drops of Vanilla Extract
- Splash Lime Juice
- Orange Zest
Directions:
- Fill shaker with ice cubes
- Add the rest of the ingredients and shake
- Strain into a cocktail glass
- Garnish with orange zest

Ingredients:
- 1 ½ oz Don Q añejo
- ½ oz Grand Marnier
- 1 oz Lemon juice
- 1 oz Simple Syrup
- Salt (rim)
Directions:
- Mix all ingredients in a shaker
- Pour into a salt-rimmed glass
- Garish with a slice of lime
Frozen Tamarind Margarita from the Hyatt Regency Aruba
- 2 oz. Jimador Blanco Tequila
- 1 oz. Tamarind juice
- 1 oz. Lime Juice
Directions:
- Blend all ingredients with a scoop of crushed ice
- Pour into a margarita glass with or without a salted rim
Spicy Sombrero
- 1 Part Hornitos Plata
- 2 Parts lemonade
- 3-4 Dashes of Green Hot Sauce
- Salt
- Smoked Paprika Rim
Directions:
- Rim shot glass with salt and smoked paprika
- Mix chilled lemonade, chilled Hornitos Plata and hot sauce in mixing glass
- Pour into shot glass
Citrónge Margarita
- 2 oz Patrón Reposado Tequila
- 1 oz Patrón Citrónge Orange Liqueur
- Fresh Lime Juice
- Splash of Orange Juice
- Lime Wheel for Garnish
Directions:
- If using salt, place in a shallow dish. Moisten the rim of a rocks glass with a dampened paper towel, then dip in salt
- Fill the glass with ice
- Add PatrónTequilas, orange juice, lime juice and Cointreau
- Stir a few times until chilled
- Garnish with lime wheel and serve
