We’re guessing he takes his “kingly” duties too seriously.
If you’re ever looking for the ultimate cosplay group to join, look no further than the Cleveland Cavaliers. According to Cleveland.com, the Cavs’ star player gave quite the gift to his teammates: a full-sized shield, complete with inscriptions of their nicknames as well as a “message referencing protection and unity.” Although there were no pictures of these mighty pieces as of this writing, they are probably quite impressive. We can only assume that Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love bring them on Fridays, when they head to LeBron’s house for some sick D&D quests.
It’s unfortunate, however, that these shields have lost their shine in the NBA Finals, especially in the Cavaliers’ destruction in Game 2. LeBron and co. were unable to produce defensively as well as offensively, failing to shut down Golden State’s Draymond Green throughout. If Cleveland hopes to have any chance against the Warriors for the next few games, they will have to raise those shields just a little higher to protect the King and his court.
