Kentucky Coach John Calapari was interviewed at halftime of last night’s Duke victory over Kentucky 75-68, and he wasn’t pleased with the amount of flopping Duke was doing. When asked why his players were in foul trouble, Calapari responded: “they’re flopping all over the place. In the NBA, they’d all be suspended.”
Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski politely disagreed with Calapari’s halftime comments when he was interviewed after the game.
“I thought we took some amazing charges and probably could have taken a few more. There’s a difference between a charge and a flop. A flop means you don’t take any contact.
“We don’t make any money so we can’t be fined. I would hope that anybody who watches the game would say that our kids played outstanding defense.”
