You have to love it when celebrities, of any kind, lend their hand to help out the community. That is exactly is happening in New Orleans with a group of former Heisman trophy winners. Good stuff.
The destruction of Katrina still scars New Orleans neighborhoods and as part of Nissan’s ongoing partnership with Habitat for Humanity they have rallied College Heisman Trophy winners to aid in rebuilding the Gulf Coast city. Heisman Trophy alums Danny Wuerfell, Eric Crouch, Johnny Rodgers, Mike Rozier and others lent their time to the project, and even added some personal touches to the construction. Danny Wuerffel took a more artistic approach by painting his signature onto the home’s new mailbox, while others donated self-portraits and hidden autographs in addition to elbow grease.
