The first renderings of a Las Vegas arena being developed by MGM Resorts and AEG have been released. The 20,000 seat arena is expected to cost $350 million and open in early 2016.
A will be a huge glass facade with an LED screen built in will cover the arena. The building will also meet the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED Gold Standard. Once opened, the arena would be able to host an NBA or NHL team “immediately.”
Las Vegas has flirted with the idea of a pro basketball team in town. AEG also designed the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
