King James was treated like royalty, reigning as the most popular athlete in 23 states. Peyton Manning comes in a far second with seven states. The rest of the pack include Adrian Peterson and Tom Brady with four states, Andrew Wiggins (two states), Johnny Manziel (one state) and Tiger Woods with one state and the only athlete from the big four sports.
