Drag racer Ron Capps was competing in the second round of Friday’s NHRA Winternationals 2014 when his engine blew up in a fiery supernova while traveling at speeds over 300 mph. A dashcam on board recorded all of the devastation and somehow Capps walked away from the explosion completely unscathed. “I’m OK,” said Capps. “That was pretty sudden. I was covered in flames, a lot of fire, but the protective equipment worked. I’m OK. I’m going to be OK. Hey, we’re in the show.” Looking at the wreckage it is truly believable that he was absolutely fine.
