Carlos Villanueva has a heck of a mustache. I mean, just look at that thing. Signed in the offseason to be a long reliever/plug ‘n play starter, Carlos Villanueva has stepped into the starting rotation for the Chicago Cubs and made an instant impact. Dubbed by Cubs color man, Jim Deshaies, as the “best mustache in baseball”, Villanueva now has two reasons not to disappoint the Cubs faithful. Currently the owner of a 3.02 ERA and a 1.01 WHIP, his pitching is also bringing attention to the North Side. As a Cubs fan, I for one not only hope the hot streak of starts continues, but I’d also like to see Villanueva’s ‘stache approach Rollie Fingers status. At least now Jeff Samardzija has some company in the dugout when it comes to facial flossing.
