Valparaiso is seeking their first NCAA Tournament win since 1998 and appear to be having an excellent time as they try to snap the 17-year streak. The Crusaders appeared in the tourney in 1999, 2000, 2002, 2004 and 2013 before grabbing another bid this season, but none of those previous five visits resulted in a victory.
As they were seeking the upset win over Maryland on Friday night, guard E. Victor Nickerson nailed a huge second half three-pointer and followed it with an excellent celebration. The bench also reacted in perfect fashion:
