The U.S. Open presents the hardest challenge in all of golf for the 156 players in the field this week. But on Friday, PGA Tour star Sahith Theegala made things look incredibly easy with one of the most incredible shots you’ll ever see in his second round of action.

Theegala came into the day with some work to do to try and make the cut after posting a 77 in the first round on Thursday, seven strokes over par at Pinehurst No. 2.

He did his very best early on in his round on Friday to try and get back to around the cut line, posting two birdies in his first five holes of the day.

Then he came up to the Par. 3 15th hole, ranking as the fourth hardest hole on the course throughout the day. He hit his first shot just off the green, leaving him in an awkward position to try and get up and down for par.

But par was not on Theegala’s mind whatsoever, boldly deciding to go for a bump and run from off the green on his second shot. It looked like the shot was going to trickle on by the hole. But in an instant, it reversed course completely, spinning back to the hole and going in for birdie.

It’s a shot you truly have to see to believe. And naturally, many golf fans took notice of the ridiculous birdie, praising Theegala on social media.

The birdie for Theegala put him to +4 for the tournament, which is significant because this is projected to be the cut line to play the weekend.

Theegala has over half of his second round to go. But he does go on to make the cut, this show will be a big reason why.
